Dr. Brian H. Bond, PhD: Department of Wood Science & Forest Products, Virginia Tech University Brian H. Bond, Ph.D., serves as extension specialist in Wood Products where his current extension and research program focuses on improving efficiency in sawmills and lumber drying operations in Virginia. He teaches the wood drying portion of Wood Drying and Durability. Dr. Bond currently has programs focused on comparing efficiencies of various lumber stacking methods in drying operations and reducing the target size of lumber through reducing sawing variation.
